The Tellink Lighting Remote Management system provides intelligence to the luminaires and Lighting Command Centers of Santiago de Compostela, as part of the project to renovate lighting and energy services in the Galician capital, which is being executed by the UTE formed by Ferrovial Construction and Endesa X Services.
The project includes the renovation to LED of more than 24,000 luminaires and more than 500 Public Lighting Command Centers, and the implementation of an advanced intelligent lighting control system from Tellink, among other actions. As a whole, it is expected that the project will provide savings of around 55% in the lighting electricity bill, while at the same time it will be possible to dynamically adjust (due to the implemented remote management system) the lighting levels to the real needs of the users. the city at all times.
The Tellink remote management system implemented in the project's luminaires allows individual remote management of each luminaire, controlling its on and off schedules, regulating lighting levels, monitoring its operation in real time and informing maintenance personnel in case of anomalies. The system allows you to define a Lighting Profile for each luminaire individually, or by groups. In this way, over-illuminating areas are avoided when no one actually passes through them, which in practice allows for significant savings in energy consumption, in addition to those provided by the migration to LED technology of the luminaires.
Each luminaire is controlled by a Tellink TSmarT IoT Node in charge of communicating with the Tellink lighting management Platform, through the NB-IoT network of Telefónica, which is Tellink's partner for this project.
